PROCURECON ASIA IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ALL BUSINESSES 

The Matchmaking Process  - OUR SIGNATURE PROGRAM

ProcureCon Asia 2009 is again pleased to offer a complimentary business-to-business matchmaking services for conference attendees at this year's annual conference.

 

Industry 

Firms interested in on-site Matchmaking services should check-in at the Matchmaking Desk upon arrival to discuss their interests with the Matchmaking Team. Some of the available purchasing needs of the Conference Sponsors and Conference Buyers.  

Who can participate?

 

STEP 1 – Conference Registration

1. Attendants are encouraged to indicate their interest in the Matchmaking Program on the Contact Registration form.

2. All firms registered to attend the event and those expressing interest in the Matchmaking Program will be contacted by the Matchmaking Team.

3. All companies registered to attend the conference will be assessed by the Matchmaking Team for their suitability for the Matchmaking Program, regardless of whether interest was indicated on the Contact Registration form.

4. Appropriate firms will be contacted by the Matchmaking Team to gauge their interest in one-on-one meetings and offer match making opportunity.

 

STEP 2 – Matchmaking Consultation

 

1. The Matchmaking Team will contact the registered company and work one-on-one via emails with each registered supplier.

2. With program support by business development staff of the Small Business Administration, the Matchmaking Team will begin a matching process based upon the supplier industry interest, products/services, capabilities, and other procurement needs.

 

STEP 3 – Meeting Logistics

 

1. The Matchmaking Team is responsible for identifying and communicating business leads to participating firms. These leads will be forwarded on a regular basis directly to the participating firm and buyers in the weeks prior to the conference, with a final schedule provided to companies prior to the firm arrival to the Conference.

2. Meetings will be arranged in advance and will take place at ProcureCon Asia 2009 conference site, the Crown Plaza Hotel West in Richmond on Wednesday November 5th, 2009  from 10 am until 4 pm.    

3. A special private meeting room of the Crown Plaza Hotel has been designated as meeting space for the Matchmaking Program. The room can accommodate up to 100 guests at all time with several round tables, coffee, internet access, and any needed on-hand support.

4. The Matchmaking Team will undertake to schedule up to twelve (12) pre-qualified appointments during the conference for each Matchmaking Program participant.

 

On-site Support

 

1. The Matchmaking Desk will be staffed by members of the Matchmaking Team (Crater Procurement Assistance Center).

2. Confirmed matchmaking participants are to check in with the Matchmaking Team for appointmnent updates.

3. Full meeting facilitation support will be provided on-site via the Matchmaking Registration Desk.

 

Optional On-site Matching Services

First priority will go to pre-registered Conference attendants. However, attendants registering on-site may be eligible for on-site matching services. These services will be provided throughout the conference, coordinated via the Matchmaking Desk and Matchmaking Meeting Sign-up Sheet.
